Journaling for my future husband!

Since I want to keep my "praying journey" more memorable, I decided to write it on a journal which I can proudly show him later! so many endless nights spent on this book 😂 and I'm starting on my 2nd journal already! Yay!

My tips :

1. Prepare a notebook, exclusively for him.
Pick whatever you like! I picked this one as I expected him to be at least simpler than I am! Silver because it symbolized "clean, pure, innocent", as during this season of waiting, I promise and I commit to keep my purity. You don't have to buy exactly the same as mine, but if you happen to like this too, please do! (available in most bookstores)

2. Add colors!
But again, it depends on your personality. I know some people who love just a simple black and white layout, or some other people who like a rather doodling style (full of drawings, coloring markers, or even glitters or stickers! Mine is about in between, I suppose?

3. Stick to it!
Commit to pray for him, but if you just had a reallllyyyy long day that all you want to do is to sleep, it's okay! you may skip a day journaling and come back again on the next day! You don't want to risk writing just whatever in this precious journal, right? but just promise to really commit!

4. Add some music or spray some smell!
While reading, reflecting, meditating, and praying on this, I usually play on some music, the best, best song I ever found that match perfectly well for this waiting season is "Praying for you by Mandisa". The lyrics is so beautiful!

P.S (Dear men, if you happen to read this, I found two great songs you can prepare for your lady!
"Jesus & You by Matthew West" and "Thank God I got her by Jonny Diaz", surprise her with your charm! - I will possibly write about "Praying for your future wife" in the future!)
You can find all the songs I mentioned on both Spotify and YouTube (click on titles to listen)
You may also spray on some smell, or use any therapy candles or whatever to get you on the mood (optional)

5. Put some quotes in between!

Oh! I actually started with 31-days prayer challenge by Jenna from thenoshlifeblog.com! (my favorite!) and upon finishing this section, I jumped to another 31 days prayer, or re-read my prayers (I didn't save the source but you can try to find a lot like this on Pinterest!)

I've collected quite a number of quotes that remind me to my future husband or whatever I want him to know. You may check my collections on Pinterest! and find "Dear future husband" board. Voilà!

6. Don't limit your creativity
If it doesn't sound complete for you (depends on your love language too, I think? the way you express you love) I personally really into giving "something". For example these are lists I have prepared for my future husband (Warning! : may sound cheesy) So sorry I can't reveal everything since I want him to be the first one seeing them! (will probably upload some proofs after I got married!) 😂
  • A Journal (as I have shown above)
  • An Instagram account (private)
  • Bunch of letters! (perfumed)
  • Lipstick and Mascara (still wrapped, saved for my very first date)
  • Gifts for him! (to be given on our 1st anniversary and his 1st birthday-with me)
  • My personal journey (a super thick, personal book)
  • Poems and cards
  • Waiting journal (what I prepared to be a wife in a Godly manner)
  • Books I read for some relationship insight (Not private, I will discuss about this too!)
Express yourself! you can even make your very own 31 days challenge, or 7 days prayer, or anything you think is helping a lot to pray! also doesn't mean that you are less better (I'm avoiding using worse) if you didn't prepare as much as I did.
You may come up with just one journal only, or just one letter, or just one something. It's beautiful, you focused on one keepsake, everyone has his/her own story, yours, not mine.
Again, it depends on how comfortable you are to express your love. I did all of these to stay focused on prayer, to always be reminded and I just want to shower him with a lot of surprises! 🎉🎉🎉

Enjoy! Hope this inspires you!
Much love,

Selina
